Beef might be pork?

The beef extract additive is sold in Shanghai and used in restaurants to make fake beef, local media reported. Cooking raw pork for about 90 minutes with the additive gives the meat a beefy flavor.-source-

Press reports said that by adding a few teaspoons of beef extract before heating a piece of pork, it can easily be transformed into beef.-source-

“Beef paste” Chinese product, of course, which can come quite handy money wise. Paste costs 45 yuan, pork costs 26 yuan a kilo and the beef costs 70 yuan kilo. One bottle of paste is enough to process 25 kilos of meat, so in the end you save about 150$. Neat thingie, wouldn’t you agree?-source-
